The Alternative Queens' Speech (Ooh cheeky!)

It is at this time of year that one looks back, retrospects and reflects upon the year that has passed, gone and been. It is a time of relations, family, friends, relatives and those to whom we are related. A time for thinking of those who are not with us, far away and not near.
This year has, on the whole, been quite eventful. A lot of things have happened, and and many of us find ourselves now at a place quite different to this time last year. As I look back on this year I see it as quite a mixed bag of emotions. 2005 dealt me 2 of the best weeks of my life and the two worst weeks of my life, where I hit rock-bottom.
Earlier in the year I had 2 of the best weeks of my life, with 8 of my closest and dearest friends. Florida was truly brilliant, never to be recreated, but hopefully to be repeated. It brought the 9 of us closer together than we ever had before, and it changed the group to an almost unrecognisable condition. Since then we have been through a lot together, obviously there has been a pairing of two of us, another 2 have found a house and we keep our fingers' crossed that that all goes well. Two of us have started new jobs. Stephen's off to London to see the Queen! We finish this year in what I see as a very strange state, I have always had such a very tight-knit group of friends all reliant on each other but now I think we face being forced to grow up and face the big, wide world. The group has broken and restructured, and probably will several times through different events, and happenings. But I wish everryone good luck for the New Year, I hope with all my heart that we are all still as one group, whatever it's shape, this time Next Year, I won't let the group fracture without a bloody good fight. But I ask for your help to keep it together, We have such a strong gift of friendship that we cannot let die.
Peace and Goodwill to you all and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
